In the 16th century, Pope Gregory revised the Julian calendar. This is the calendar that is widely used today around the world. Although, now it is used on daily basis, it wasn’t used in many places like parts of Russia until the 20th century. Approximately five hundred years before Pope Gregory, Omar Khayyam and a team of Astronomers and Scientists,revised the Iranian calendar. It is called the Jalali Calendar.
